HOLDINGFORD — The Holdingford Public Schools Board of Education announced Dave Oehrlein as the district’s next superintendent April 23.

Following final interviews April 22, the board voted unanimously to enter into contract negotiations with Oehrlein. An official hire and start date is yet to be set.

Oehrlein serves as superintendent and high school principal at Rothsay Public Schools, and has previously worked in leadership positions at Paynesville Area Schools and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City School District. He was selected following a comprehensive search process facilitated by School Pro K12, which included input from the school board, staff and community stakeholders.

“We are confident that Dave Oehrlein is the right leader for Holdingford Public Schools,” said Lori Opatz, board chair. “He brings a strong background in educational leadership and a clear commitment to students, staff and community. We are excited to welcome him to Holdingford.”
