Seven semi-finalists selected for Melrose superintendent position

MELROSE —  The Melrose Area Public School Board unanimously selected seven semi-finalists to interview for the school district’s superintendent position during a special meeting Feb. 26.

The semi-finalists include Dr. Zachary Dingmann, grades 3-5 school Principal, Sartell-St. Stephen ISD 748;  Kyle Edgerton, superintendent/principal, Campbell-Tintah Public Schools; John Groenke, executive director of student services, Robbinsdale Area Schools; Eric Koep, superintendent, Bertha-Hewitt Public School; Dr. Michael Neubeck, superintendent, Byron Public Schools; Dr. Trish Perry, superintendent, Foley Public Schools; and Dr. Jason Stanoch, career academies director, Bemidji Area Schools.

The semi-finalists were selected from a pool of 16 applicants based on criteria established by the school board and survey input provided by Melrose school staff and the public. 

The school board scheduled interviews for the semi-finalists beginning at 4 p.m. Monday, March 3, and continuing at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 4.

All interviews will be held in the high school media center and are open to the public. To ensure a level playing field for all candidates the interviews will not be livestreamed.
